& Team Earns Berth To Division III Tournament
Updated: May 9, 2012, 12:51 AM FULL ARTICLE HERE
There are those moments when a program feels it has arrived. For Buffalo State women's lacrosse coach Meg Stevens, the moment hit early this week as the Bengals earned an at-large berth in the NCAA Division III tournament.
One teams loss, anothers gain. Congratulations, Chelsea.
Buffalo State's women's lacrosse program has added Chelsea Davis, a former standout player at Kean University, as an assistant coach for the 2011-12 season.
Davis played four seasons at Kean and was a four-time first team All-Skyline Conference honoree, and was twice recognized on the New Jersey Athletic Conference All-Star teams. A two-year captain, she ranked nationally in Division III in caused turnovers, ground balls and draw controls. After completing her playing career in 2010, Davis coached for one season with the Livingston Junior Lacrosse League and with the Millburn High School junior varsity program.
A native of Livingston, N.J., Davis completed her bachelor's in physical education and health and earned her New Jersey teaching certificate at Kean.
"Chelsea is a great example to all our players - and recognized in her awards - as one who excelled in the basics of the game and who will now be teaching & coaching at the highest levels.
We will miss her but wish her much success in her latest role."

Jersey Jamboree Celebrates Youth Lacrosse
Lancers' at the Jersey Jamboree
On Sunday June 10th Livingston Jr Lancers Girls lacrosse players Missy Kelly, Remi Karp, Emily Waldenberg and Ryann Unger participated in The Jersey Jamboree. The Jamboree was a fun day of lacrosse for graduating 8th grade players in the U15 Division. The girls were placed on teams with 8th graders from other towns to form a unified team playing other combined teams. It was a great way to celebrate youth lacrosse and let the girls meet some of the players they may see next year on the high school playing fields. The girl’s did a great job representing their 7th/8th grade Jr Lancer team. The girls 7th/8th grade program finished the season with a
